PHPBB Avatars
I've been able to upload my avatar through drupal, but whenever I try to upload one to PHPBB, there doesn't seem to be a button for me to upload the file.
I see a bunch of people have already gotten their avatars working, how did you do it?

Hrm,
Since the link wouldn't show before if I had an avatar uploaded, I removed my avatar just to give you a walkthrough. But saw the same lack of means to upload it. Someone changed the edit avatar page. Hopefully someone ill fix it soon so I can get my avatar back up.

Just followed the normal route -- went to my personal page, selected the avatar change thing, added the avatar, clicked upload, and ignored the error message.

Re: PHPBB Avatars
do you have a non-admin account to test? I suspect it might be a feature that was disabled temporarily for non-admins, but someone forgot to turn it back on.
I've tried different browsers and clearing my cookies, and there is no upload option for me either.

Wakkannai, I thought you had gotten your avatar up?
Also, I just realized that it says "User Avatar" in text next to my name in the forums.
How bizzare.

Yea, I HAD gotten it up. But when I took it down to give you a walkthrough, the upload button had dissapeared....
The reset button seems to have stopped working too.

Sama here, except that I clicked the "display gallery" button after that error message and it looked fine.
Maybe it could work if one attaches the avatar picture on reply such as:
and uses its url for the upload source?

Re: PHPBB Avatars
If there is an upload link, then avatars can be upleaded even with the error. However, without an upload button, we can't upload. It's very frustrating for me since I had it up before, but that functionality seems to have disapeared for some reason.

Wakannai,
I'm sorry I made you delete your avatar.
:/
I'm still getting various errors when I try to go to the PHPBB account editing site directly from Drupal or vice versa.
Something about a drupal_user table not existing.
I even have a pretty new avatar I want to try out, and I can't use him except in the blogs.
How sad!

It's ok. I don't blame you. I did it trying to help you after all.
For those that don't get what we are talking about check this link.
No more upload link. The reset button doesn't even update the page. It just exists with no fuctionality.
deleting all board cookies does nothing.

Sorry for the trouble. I will email Australia about that. The Drupal and phpBB Avatar sharing was a job I loaded on them. I had hoped we would see a themed forums and other improvements this week...

Re: PHPBB Avatars
My favorite part of uploading the avatar was the error message that said "your avatar must be less than 19 pixels." And then I refresh, and it uploaded anyways.
Thanks for the help!
