I completely had a brain lapse or something. I am learning "か" and "かどうか" for placing questions inside larger sentences. I have a simple sentence to translate but my brain is just in a funk and I have no idea if I did it right. So, I just wanted to check... (at the risk of looking like a dumb-dumb)

What the book has: (how long it will take to the airport)教えてください。

What I have: いつ空港にかかるか教えてください。

I feel like it's wrong. Is it?

I don't think you use いつ with かかる because one is an exact time (as in the answer is "at three pm"), and one is a period of time (as in your answer would be "in three hours").

So maybe
空港にどれくらいかかるか教えてください for 'how long will it take to get to the airport'
and いつ空港に着くか教えてください for 'when will we get to the airport'?

どのぐらい would also work.
