I'm not sure, but I think it should be:
明日はノルウェー語試験です。
or

I think... :p

I suppose it could technically work, but it seems a little weird... Rather than "have a test" it says that "the test is tommorrow"... To say you have a test, it would be more like... The 〔私は〕 is optional.

i see.... so if I had gone round and said that "I have a test" all year, then it would be appropriate to say

It needs a は after the word 試験, so it should be ノルウェー語試験は明日です... Though, I think you would be understood.

One does not やる a test. You should うける (take) a test.

There is a Norwegian test tomorrow.

The Norwegian test is tomorow.

Would you use 試験 for a test in, say, a high school class? Or is 試験 used mostly for national examinations and the like?

I get to say that phrase alot. I'm not a good test taker.

試験 refers to any test, while higher level tests are usually referred to as 受験. It would be the difference between "Test" and "Examination," I believe. additionally, 入試 is an entrance examination.
