Someone please translate this. One of my Japanese buddies told me this proverb, but doesn't know the exact translation in english.

旅の恥はかき捨て?

Thanks in advance. ;)

EDIT
Ok, turns out I was wrong. I looked it up in my (wife's) 諺辞典 when I got home.

The meaning is that when you go on a trip, you don't know anyone, and so you are not held responsible for your actions.

If I was to sum it up into one phrase it would be:
"Travel is your passport to act like a jerk."
:p

Or:

"When in Rome...feel free to act like a doofus."
