You're switching back and forth between plain and polite forms. You ought to pick one and stick with it.
maybe.

I'd probably say but that might be too much of a departure from the originalrichvh wrote:でも、あの薬を飲むと覚えるのがとても悪くなりますよ。maybe.
( there is also the phrase もの覚えが悪くなる or もの忘れが増える・激しくなる etc but that may be too strong for this context )
yeah I guess I am confused between polites and plain forms... my friend in osaka seems to switch between forms a lot when she emails me.. so i guess that's pretty much why.
But I don't know what to write instead of です in plain forms. I know about だ, but my friend told me it is very weird to do so..
My sentences are full of mistakes.. ugh.
about this medication story, it's true. I'm pretty mad and sad at the same time.

It's not unusual for Japanese females to switch between plain and polite forms in casual speech or e-mail. Are you male or female? If you are male, do not avoid だ in casual speech, it will make you sound feminine.

I'm male. She also told me to use 僕 not 私, because she says for male 私 is too polite.
like when I say..
what would be the plain form equivalent? My textbook didnt teach it to me (not yet anyway) =/
I guess my level of japanese is what I deserve... I studied it in the totally wrong way for years (that is, without a textbook, and on and off). I've been using a textbook since last september. My japanese improved greatly, but is still pretty weak.
