I think the 'sugee' pronounciation is colloquial/informal. Possibly province related (like kansai-ben?).

i suppose that after thinking about it, suteki! can be an exclamation, just havent heard it used that way before...

すげえ is a really masculine way of saying すごい, so if you wanna sound macho you could go with that.

You'll hear girls referring to guys as cute, and there's nothing wrong with it, but it tends to refer to personality rather than looks.

I asked my Japanese girlfriend how to say "cool" and she in turn replied with "choku." Take it or leave it.

Is your girlfriend Okinawan? Choku sounds like okinawa-ben
