Labor day rant

Postby hyperconjugated » Wed 04.30.2008 11:10 pm

Howdy everyone! It's International Workers' Day!
And I just wanted to say that what everyone is doing is merry! We appreciated it! However, we don't appreciated it as much as we appreciate the London 2012 Olympic Logo! Just look at it! It says it was worth of 1.2 million £, yes, you read it right! One point two million pounds of money spent for this ridiculous piece of s---t pixel mess. Repeated, one point two million pounds spent for this awesome pixel mess, sure it was worth it! All heil 2012 olympics, money well spent!!!11 Sure there are people working their fingers to the bone in sweatshops all over the globe 24/7 for little to nothing but, who cares, I bet there were some genius minds desiging that 2012 logo and it was _worth every penny_, every 1,2 million pounds of it! That my friends, that is what is wrong with world today. 1st. of the month may day commie rant ends here.

That's inflation for you. When it was unveiled in June 2007 it only cost £400,000 ;)

I agree though, it is a shocker

Apparently the one on the right is Lisa Simpson.

Now you've got me seeing a dirty image in that picture when it was nothing but an incomprehensible bunch of angular blobs before.

Thanks Chikara! m(_ _)m

The pink and yellow gives me head pains. I don't really like it myself, but I don't really care for the Olympics either. I don't really understand why so much is spent on things like this though.

That's horrible!

Did you hear about the OGC logo? The main point of this story is... well, read it and you'll see. :D But I was more appalled by the fact that someone paid 14,000 pounds for it... Hell, I could have made the exact same thing for a Big Mac and some fries.

Ahhahaha, hilarious! :D And since this thread has gone freudian, there's no point stopping now:

Because watching sports is fun.

Why do people read books instead of writing them?
Why do people listen to music instead of playing music?
Why do people watch plays rather than acting in plays?

Why do people read dumb questions instead of asking them? :D

You resurrected this thread after two weeks just to ask that completely off topic question

WTF makes you think that people who watch sports don't also "do" sports?

I have participated in numerous sports over the years and watch those same sports at every opportunity.
