Looking for tensho-style font
Does anyone know where I can get a tensho-style Japanese font? Any help on this would be appreciated.

Re: Looking for tensho-style font
Not quite sure what a tensho-style font would look like, but I have a list of free Japanese font websites at work that are really nice and cover a wide variety of styles.
I'll attach a link when I get to work in the morning, if no one else finds one before then. =)

It's that really stylized writing that's almost unrecognizable and is used mostly on inkan, just like on this site http://www.is-hanko.co.jp/insho/tensho.html and also in the link provided by inuinu (scroll down to the 篆書 section). I found a truetype font already at this site http://www.linkclub.or.jp/~ma3ki/lc-hp/font.html, but it only includes 1,006 kanji. I need a tensho font that has all of the kanji, or at least 2,000 of them.

がつ、... Sorry, no I don't have any fonts like that I don't believe.
The site I found is this one, if it helps any: http://www.wazu.jp/gallery/Fonts_Japanese.html
But no Tensho fonts. The best I have on my computer is a 丸いゴシック, but even that looks way too modern for what you're looking for, I think.
What are you writing that you need all the 常用漢字? 手書きでもいいんじゃない?「薔薇」をかける人には大したもんじゃないんでしょう?

Re: Looking for tensho-style font
I'm just working with some graphics and when I tried to type some sample words using the font I found (e.g., 上石津, 蘭, etc.), I would get boxes for 津 and 蘭 and some other kanji. I can understand 蘭 not being in there, but I need something that at least has 津
At this point there's no way I'd be able to write in tensho by hand. I've seen enough to know what basic radicals like きへん, くさかんむり and さんずい look like, but I'm still not familiar enough with the style. The shapes of a kanji's block form and its tensho equivalent can be so different that I would never been able to guess at what the tensho form would look like.
Anyway, the link you gave me keeps timing out, but I'll try again later. Thanks for the help though.
*EDIT*
Haven't found the font yet, but I found something that will do for now. Here it is in case anyone else is interested:
http://www.is-hanko.co.jp/shachi/tensho_check.html
It works with every kanji I've thrown at it so far, including 薔薇, 檸檬 and 躑躅. Just type some kanji into the field at the top and click the button to 実感する!
Still, it would be nice to have the TrueType font if anyone can point me in the right direction

Re: Looking for tensho-style font

Guys, hi! Listen I have the same problem! I was looking for the Tensho font with more than 2000 kanji but could not find it! Have you found it? Could you please help me if you did?? I desperately need it! I could not find it either to buy or to just download.
