Can someone tell me if this is right?
Me and my friends all know/ are learning different languages, and so we all are doing the same sentance in different languages, including english, french, russian, spanish and japanese. the sentance is hello, my name is peter pan, i can fly/ i fly. but i have lost my shadow/ i do not have a shadow. here's what i have:
私のなまえはピーターパンです.
私はとびます.
でも影はありません.
i'm really unsure about the last sentance...

Looks OK to me. If you want to change the second sentence to "can fly", use とぶことができます or とべます.

Re: Can someone tell me if this is right?
but why not use some more swell looking kanji:
名前 for namae
飛ぶこと出来ます for tobu koto dekimasu.
名前 for namae
飛ぶこと出来ます for tobu koto dekimasu.
waiting for 悟道.

"とぶことができます"
just to see if i know what this means, tell me if my translation is right.
とぶ means to fly
こと Means 'thing' to make the verb 'tobu' into a noun?
が Is the particle to mark the noun as the subject
できます Masu form of できる Meaning to be able to
Hence the sentence means: (assuming it is about me) I can fly
