Re: first anime you have watched
I started with Speed Racer on late nights on MTV, didn't know it was an anime then. Then many moons later I saw Dragonball Z on Cartoon Network and started watching what was on there. Then I went to visit my inlaws and my sister-in-law's friend had a TON of anime I was introduced to Evangelion & Golden Boy...ah they opened Pandora's Box by getting me even more hooked

Re: first anime you have watched
Well, the first anime I watched was DragonBall Z, but I didn't like it; I only watched it because my babysitter really didn't like me and didn't let me pick what TV shows to watch, but she loved the boys and always let them pick (>.<). The first anime I watched and LIKED was My Neighbor, Totoro. As for my first manga, and what really got me started in the craze was Orphen and FMA.

The first anime that I have watched was "Doraemon". If I am not mistaken, it was way back in 1994 during my childhood time. And now, I still enjoy watching "Doraemon". To me, "Doraemon" is the most influential anime in my life since I grew up with the stories.

For me it was digimon. I fell in love with that show

"Teknoman", at least I think so. If it wasn't thati t was something like Akira or Bubblegum Crisis on SBS late at night. Back then I didn't really know what I was watching.
The first I watched intentionally was Neon Genesis Evangelion and it is still my favorite to date. Absolutely wonderful and I can't wait for the new remakes.
As for nowdays?... Well I know it's not part of the thread, but The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is excellent. I wish more of it was out already!

I can't remember which one came first or what it is in order. My first animes were:
Pokemon
Sailor Moon
and Tenchi Muyo
I blame Toonami for the letter 2. XD

Doraemon! (In Vietnamese, it's Đô-rê-mon). I like him (Doraemon) very much! So cool! So funny! And, so good!

Re: first anime you have watched
I think my first ever Anime was Heidi and one of my absolute favourites has always been Taro the Dragon Boy.
I constantly preferred Japanese cartoons over American ones, even as a toddler, so I watched tons of the good old Animes which aren't being aired anymore. (God, now I feel old O.o)
The only ones I always hated from the start were Sailor Moon and Dragonball, but the list is growing.
German TV has always had quite a few Anime series running but the quality is dropping rapidly which I find very sad.

Re: first anime you have watched
For me, Saint Seiya would be the first real anime I have ever seen in my life, and I was fascinated by that one at that time.
