JLPT 2 2008/2009

Hi SS.
I must admit I also had doubts about the way we were going, as we can all find examples and explanations here. It doesn't really make a lot of sense rewriting that, although it would be fun trying to toy with some sentences of our own.
But like you, even though I will be taking level 2 this year, I certainly don't feel I'm at all ready to go and correct any sentences given by others, either.

As for practising listening through chat sessions, I have no idea how to go about that, to be honest.....

Maybe we'll come up with some ideas in the days to come.

It is true we can all look at examples sentences somewhere else. But...
The knack of the group is, as far as I'm concerned, motivate each other in studying, and to look at what others do is already a step in the right direction, even with the limitations of our poor knowledge. It can be arid to study alone, at least it is for me. What we did already was useful .

I agree it is a pity that we get so little feed back (thanks two-heads). I guess it was coco's invaluable contribution that pushed us on.

I don't have the technical knowledge to do what cocosan did, load up listening sections, otherwise I would do it gladly. I don't even know how to set a chat room. Anyway,I willing to learn if I have a starting point.

I nevertheless think there is also room for a chatgroup in grammar, but with a very strict agenda, as I'm far - and maybe not alone in that - from having the bulk of JLPT2 grammar in my head : so I have to have something to focus on.

Tanuki would know how to do it (setting up chatrooms) but he seems to have dropped out (though sometimes I see his name as being on line), whatever motives SSsan can imagine!

Carolinesan, I agree!

JLPT2 is not an easy task!
When we were studying for JLPT4 or 3 there were many people that could help us and helping was easier.
It's normal that it'll be more difficult but since everyone is anyway studying on his own, having a space here to share our thoughts is always a plus.

I started with grammar a few months ago, but I'm following a certain order (kanzen master's), and as you pointed out, every book is different in this...
Maybe it does not make a lot of sense rewriting jgram here, as katafei says, but we could discuss... maybe some book exercise or sentence that one on his own cannot fully understand...

For instance, what is exactly the difference between 〜きる and 〜ぬく ?
I found some examples, but not a clear explanation of this.

(2) は「～ぬく」の説明なので､おっしゃるとおり"Komari-NUKU" の誤りだと思います。

If you can use Pandion ( or other Jabber clients?), you can make a chat room anytime, and can make it a permanent room as a moderator. (A person who create a room become a moderator.) And a moderator can set a password, if it is needed.

But I'm not sure whether a chat log can be saved automatically, like we could do it last year's session.

The test room will be deleted within a week.

I thought I could use pandion, but was mistaken, as I can't log with the old login and not with the temporary one. I can log in the new chatromm, though.... but can we create something there, I wonder.

Pandion goes through cycles of downage and needs for reinstallation, which I don't keep up with. I'd rather try the new rikai chan chat if we're going to get together.
