以前から不思議に思っていたのですがなぜほとんどの日本人はFirst Person Shooter games (日本語で何とよぶか忘れました)に興味がないのでしょうか?やっぱり文化が違うと興味もちがってくるものなのでしょうか?

It's inertia. Once certain games get published, it's much easier to just keep making games of that same type rather than taking chances on other things. I seriously doubt you could find deep cultural reasons for why RPGs do better in Japan and FPSs do better in the US.

いろんな研究による、アジア人は欧米人より酔いやすい傾向があるらしいので、FPSとそのようなゲームをやるとすぐよってしまいそうです。アジア系の欧米人も同じ問題が確率的に多く発生していますので、遺伝子的な原因だと思われいています。

ところで First Person Shooter は日本語で何と言うんですか? ファミ通で以前読んだことがあるんですけど思い出せません。 「主眼的射撃ゲーム」と呼ぶんでしたっけ?

「ファーストパーソン・シューティングゲーム」というみたいです。こんなことを見つけるのには、wikipediaを使ったほうがいいと思います。英語のwikipediaで言葉を検索して、左の「日本語」のリンクをクリックすると、日本語のwikipediaのページが見えるんです。

Japan w/ RPGs, I don't know, but if you look at the US, we have the highest gun-related deaths in the world so you can say the U.S. loves to shoot people, virtual or real.
