Kanji used in addresses
Hi,
I was just wondering, now that i was given a romanji address, and i want to write it in kanji, how do i know which kanji to use?

That's a problem which applies to the entire Japanese language 
With a good grasp of written Japanese you can make educated guesses about which kanji to use, but even then place names often have unusual/obscure readings so that's not full-proof. Even native speakers won't always be to write an entire address in kanji just based just on the romaji. Best idea is if you have the post (zip) code of the address then you can enter it on this page which the Japanese postal service provides (second box down below the map with a red button) and it will give you most of the kanji used in that address.

Note that writing an address in romaji is perfectly acceptable if you are sending something to Japan.

I think it's actually the preferred way, is it not?
I believe you have to at least write JAPAN in english, no?
