IGIJ 1e vs. IGIJ 2e
Does anyone know how different the new edition of An Integrated Guide to Intermediate Japanese is compared to the first edition? From the description, it seems like it was rewritten or update for better continuity from Genki 2, but I haven't been able to make the comparison. Anyone?
Regards,
Alex.

Uh, I guess it got overall better?
Why do you want to know the exact differences since you know that it has been updated => made better?
Updated and reviewed versions are (nearly) always the ones to go for.
(As for me, I'll go get the new version when I'm done with my Genki books...)

Ah, well, it's because I already own the first edition, and was wondering if anyone knew whether the updates were worth $50.

Perhaps you can email or contact the publisher and see what has been updated.

Oh, now it makes sense
You should've mentioned that earlier ^^
And I'd go with 2HT's suggestion.

Do you mean the Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese?
Another question a few customers have asked is if the new workbook would work with the original textbook. I didn't have a chance to compare the old with the revised textbook before we sold out of the original edition... It would be nice to know.
My guess is it should be close enough but with a few page numbering issues. But that is just a guess.

Have you had a look at this page: http://ij.japantimes.co.jp/en/about.jsp ? If you already have the old book you can compare with the samples provided at the bottom of the page.
