can a の being used many times in a sentence? i was making one and it sounded like this.
私の国の首相のなまえはアブヅラです。
anyway, is it neccesary to add a 囯 in the sentence?
it just makes me feel weird.
the の's
RE: the の's
Yes, I think "no" can be used again and again without sounding ridiculous, like when you say in English (My grandmother's sister's daughter's mobile phone)
Also I am sure this alright in polite conversation (maybe someone could back me up on this??)
You asked whether 国 is required in the sentence, well, that depends on how obvious the context of your dialouge is, but it wouldn't be weird I think

RE: the の's
I believe that you need 国 in this sentence, otherwise it sounds a bit strange; like you're talking about a minister that you own and keep in your pocket.

RE: the の's
Yes true, I mean unless the topic of "differnt countries' ministers" has already been established, I think it would not be nessecary.Harisenbon wrote:

RE: the の's
Nope. It sounds fine just like it is. =)
RE: the の's
I guess.... Here is this stupid sentence I made:
Watashi no INU NO shikon no tama desu! This is my DOG'S FourSouls Jewel!

"What do you mean, 'Dog?'" *squish*
By the way, even though it is InuYasha-ish and stupid, is the grammar correct?
EDIT-tsu: I couldn't understand the sentence because of all the kanji. X_x *dies*

You have the right to remain an idiot. Anything you say can and will be IGNORED!
RE: the の's
I suggest you add a "Kore ha/wa" to the beginning, so you actually SAY "This is"... and it will make a bit more sense. But otherwise, it's fine.
