hiranga combinations?

hiranga combinations?

i was wondering if their was only a limited amount of hiranga combinations example

きゃ

i counted all of them on this page in hiranga section and their are 33. are those all the ones possible?


also i was wondering in japanese writing, sometimes i see like little periods like circles, what are they im not talkin about the ones used for pa pi, i thought japanese writings dont have periods

Well, there can be others, but it's mainly used only with Katakana to be able to pronounce foreign words that otherwise couldn't be pronounced. Such as ブィ for V.

As for the standard Kana, those are all the combinations, if you don't include the variations such as gya byo and pyu and whatnot. =)

As for the circles, there are periods in Japanese. Japanese would be so much freaking harder to read without periods, as they have no capital letters to mark the beginning of a sentence. =)

Japanese -does- have periods.
