Bewaare of Japanese tap water! I swear on my life that everything I said was true!!! However in Japan
they do sell evian and crystal geyser so I would suggest using it to brush your teeth in and maybe if you

Judging by the facts given, I would have to agree with 2heads theory that it was your diet. I don't know actually know much about Japan's water or toothpaste, but considering it's a 1st world country, I would have to assume neither would cause halitosis. Food, however, very commonly does. A mixture of new foods could have very possibly ruined your breath. And considering it stopped after your return to the US, it's even more believable.
However, this thread does bring up a point I haven't considered before. Is Japanese tap water safe for drinking? Pretty much all I drink is tap water, and buying water would be a drastic change for me.

I DID do that he said my mouth was perect and that he didnt smell anything! however when I went to
school the kids definitely did. During lunch I asked a random boy what he was eating in his bentou and
his friend smelled my breath and gave me the dirtiest look Ive ever seen. The girl sittig next me just
kept her face in her towel to keep from smelling the stench! When this girl sat next to me in computer
class this girl told her ganbatte! ( meaning my breath!!!)

You hardly talked or something, that's why you had dry mouth?
Doctor said your mouth was perfect? That's good news then.
You're back in America and you're happy with your life there, right? So, stop thinking about the unpleasant past and move on.
Cheers!

Re: PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!
I have a little time to drop post here. My office is so quiet. Malay colleagues are off work today since tomorrow is Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
I know.
But, sorry is as sorry does, learn to convince yourself, it's over.
Maybe try visiting some other areas of Japan, next time?
Bring lots of refresher candies from your hometown, maybe? ^_^''

But, a mouth with bad breath still can come up with good words, right?
Taken as a whole, generally people would judge you on your character, not the fact that you are having a bad breath.
Let go.
