Speaking of calpis, I'm actually drinking a glass of it right now. The stuff that comes pre-mixed from vending machines is yummy, but I prefer the mix-your-own kind from the supermarket because it comes in all kinds of weird fruit flavors.

I'm currently drinking white-grape flavor, but red grape, pineapple and orange are very yummy too. Stay away from banana, though; that stuff is an abomination. (Mango's a little gross too.)

For the longest time I thought Calpis and Pocari Sweat were the two national drinks....

How can you be obsessed with it if you've never had it?
What makes the calpis you had "not real"?
the calpis i drank in america tastes the same as what i drink in japan =/

I like grape flavor. Have you had calpis candy? it's great ^^

i HATE pocari sweat!lol

Ditto.

I *love* that stuff.

If I were a millionaire, I'd have a Pocari Sweat vending machine installed in my house.

Pocari Sweat is good, but my favorite was 海のSupli. Unfortunately it was one of those limited-time only flavors.

I don't much like Pocari Sweat either.

My absolute favorite Japanese drink that I wish I could get here is Coke's Soukenbicha. Next time I go to Japan, the first thing I'm doing is buying a bottle of that from the airport vending machine.
