We're not done yet.coco wrote:Phreadom-san, thank you for the site updating. It must have been a laborious work.
I had the exact same problem.becki_kanou wrote: Also, a bug: I don't know if anyone else experienced it but when I first tried to log into the new site I was rejected several times before it finally recognized my user name and password.
Yeah, I don't like the new smilies... I prefer the round ones of old...sushi4ever wrote:I had the exact same problem.becki_kanou wrote: Also, a bug: I don't know if anyone else experienced it but when I first tried to log into the new site I was rejected several times before it finally recognized my user name and password.
And I also got the feeling that the new site is slower, but that might be my strained bandwidth
(The new smilies look odd O.o)
Ah... it looks like the spoiler code didn't get fully ported over. I'll fix that. Thanks for the test SS.SS wrote:Welcome back Infidel-san!
Nice clear clean look! Thanks all for the great job!

Clay takes care of the Kanji a day stuff, so I'll have to check with him to see what the problem might be there. Not sure about the Gallery messages.Kurious wrote:Hello, I have been lurking on this site for some time now.
I like the new style a lot, it looks great!
I love using the Opera browser and I'm happy to report that web site looks almost exactly the same on Opera than on Internet Explorer. (On a few other sites this is unfortunately not the case.) There is only one difference I found, see below.
I am subscribed so that I receive a Kanji a day, but the link in the eMail does not work now. I clicked on "Lessons" and eventually arrived to:
http://www.thejapanesepage.com/node/kanji/kanji4b.htm
Which I know existed before, but those are not the pages that I used to link to, from the eMail.
On this page, and pages like it (I just change the URL manually), the next and previous links don't work:
http://www.thejapanesepage.com/node/kanji/kk21.htm
After I logged in, it says on the top part of the home page:
"Embedded Gallery2 is not available or requested Gallery URL does not exist." <--- Once on Internet Explorer and twice on Opera.
And right below it says:
"Data timezone => -18000, for Kurious synced to Drupal." <--- On Opera only
Anyway, this site is really great! Thank you!
As far as I know, the Kanji section is the very next thing on the list for Clay and the others. So hopefully that section will start expanding and improving very soon. (I'll be working on the chat stuff as I mentioned earlier in this thread, but after that I'll be helping on the Kanji stuff as well.)jesusfreak51593 wrote:the new site seems less inormative in the kanji area and doesn't offer a difference between on and kun readings... does it?
Yes, a TOTAL kanji section redo is planned next. Most of the old, old pages are still there, but the old database driven pages are not. Sorry about that.the new site seems less inormative in the kanji area and doesn't offer a difference between on and kun readings... does it?
