Phreadom-san, thank you for the site updating. It must have been a laborious work.

Thanks for all the hard work guys! That chat sounds like a great idea!
Also, a bug: I don't know if anyone else experienced it but when I first tried to log into the new site I was rejected several times before it finally recognized my user name and password.

I had the exact same problem.
And I also got the feeling that the new site is slower, but that might be my strained bandwidth ^^

Love the new site!
When I logged in the first time, I got a debug message saying that my PHPBB username and password were being created, but other than that, no hicups.
I love the leaf design at the top, and how it meshes with the header bar (where it said board index).

Re: New site launch! You know what that means.. Bug hunting! :)
Hello, I have been lurking on this site for some time now.
I like the new style a lot, it looks great!
I love using the Opera browser and I'm happy to report that web site looks almost exactly the same on Opera than on Internet Explorer. (On a few other sites this is unfortunately not the case.) There is only one difference I found, see below.
I am subscribed so that I receive a Kanji a day, but the link in the eMail does not work now. I clicked on "Lessons" and eventually arrived to:
http://www.thejapanesepage.com/node/kanji/kanji4b.htm
Which I know existed before, but those are not the pages that I used to link to, from the eMail.
On this page, and pages like it (I just change the URL manually), the next and previous links don't work:
http://www.thejapanesepage.com/node/kanji/kk21.htm
After I logged in, it says on the top part of the home page:
"Embedded Gallery2 is not available or requested Gallery URL does not exist." <--- Once on Internet Explorer and twice on Opera.
And right below it says:
"Data timezone => -18000, for Kurious synced to Drupal." <--- On Opera only
Anyway, this site is really great! Thank you!

the new site seems less inormative in the kanji area and doesn't offer a difference between on and kun readings... does it?

Yeah, I don't like the new smilies... I prefer the round ones of old...
I enabled some caching features on the main Drupal site just now, so we'll see if that helps ease the bandwidth strain a bit.

Ah... it looks like the spoiler code didn't get fully ported over. I'll fix that. Thanks for the test SS.
Same thing for the RSS stuff.

Clay takes care of the Kanji a day stuff, so I'll have to check with him to see what the problem might be there. Not sure about the Gallery messages.
The "sync" messages are just part of the phpbbforum module that ties the Drupal and PHPBB sites together. It shouldn't show up again as far as I know.

As far as I know, the Kanji section is the very next thing on the list for Clay and the others. So hopefully that section will start expanding and improving very soon. (I'll be working on the chat stuff as I mentioned earlier in this thread, but after that I'll be helping on the Kanji stuff as well.)

The new site looks great! It looks more serious (in a good way).
By the way, I haven't had any problems logging in.

Thanks everyone! Please give Phreadom an extra big virtual pat on the back.
Yes, a TOTAL kanji section redo is planned next. Most of the old, old pages are still there, but the old database driven pages are not. Sorry about that.
