As for me, I enjoy watching "Densha Otoko". The story is about an otaku who had fall in love with a woman. But I think the drama version are much better compared to the movie. It is my opinion though...

if we talk about movie (not dorama/series) i would suggest be with you (ai ni yukimasu) and heavenly forest (tada kimi wo aishiteru)

The Hana Yori Dango 1 & 2 are series or drama..but it's nice!

try densha otoko. I'm a guy, I don't even speak much japanese, and I'm not interested in girls in the least, and I don't plan on being interested in them for 4, 5, or 6 more years, until I'm around 18 or 20, and I still loved this movie. Now that I think of it, it's probably because I can relate to it... I'll probably end up being hopeless in the romantic field and i'm a nerdy guy just like the main character.

"Audition", nothing says love like a female homicidal stalker (watched it prior to studying Japanese, so English subtitle version).

Granted, 白夜行 (びゃくやこう) works in the series department for me (granted, following it only in Japanese).

Yeah, I'm kinda low in the number of Japanese movies (any genre). I guess 電車男 as that's the only love story movie I've watched in Japanese (like others, I think the series is better).
