「以後」はそれよりあとの時代・時点という立場での区切り
以後 is used as at a point of a time by the time after it, or for the period of a time.

@SS, Sorry for answering late, I only just now saw you're post.
I'm more than honoured by your suggestion to make my upcoming (but bound to be a failure) 2kyuu test a cheering up topic ^_^
But as you know, I think, I'm not very big on chatting......
so please do not be angry, but I don't think I'll be able to make it
Okome-san, thanks for even more info on this 以 matter!
It's a very difficult kanji to grasp, but these extra tips are wonderful!

Would it be possible to hold one chat session on this coming Sunday, 16 Nov 2008, SST22:00?
せっかくのお誘いなのに申し訳ないのですが、その日は都合がつきません。
JLPT受験者の方、残すところ3週間あまりとなりました。
がんばってくださいね。

SSさん
That was a sweet and good idea, and I'm sorry I did not catch your offer sooner.
I'll be glad to do that as soon as possible, but as Txkun, I've been a bit over my head lately.
Count me in for your next offer (I'll try to log in more regularly - le ultime parole famose)
As I'm not passing JLPT 2 this year, but probably next if everything else is under control, 皆さん、がんばってください to those passing it.

Re: JLPT 2 2008/2009
Thnx.
Please keep your fingers crossed
I'm off to Copenhagen in the morning
If only they would play the listening part twice and give me 2 hours for part three, I would stand a chance. As it is.....not so much.
But I'm looking forward to a nice city trip anyway.
cu you all next week....

Re: JLPT 2 2008/2009
Leaving tomorrow morning for Washington DC and my JLPT 3 test.
Didn't study quite as much as I wanted (not as much kanji & didn't finish my grammar book) but I think I'll do okay if the practice tests I've been taking are any indication.
If it goes alright, I'll probably take the new 3 next year and shoot for JLPT 2 the year after.
Lot of time and money, but at least it keeps me working toward something.
Good luck everybody!!!

Re: JLPT 2 2008/2009
I'm bumbling into the JLPT 2 in DC, though I'll probably be going down and back the same day. It'll be an adventure. I think I can pass, though the reading/grammar will be stressful. I'm not too stressed out, though, so hopefully I'll do okay and not get myself too worked up about it.

Re: JLPT 2 2008/2009
well, all's done now....
I did a little better than I dared to hope.
Which means I finished all the reading bits within the time required.
Skipped one item, but that's all.
Listening was pretty hard, Esp the first part. But my fellow student thought so too, and he's way better than me, so that comforted me a little.
and now it's time to forget all about it until the results come
How did you go?
So, cheers everyone, it's time for me to go and enjoy Copenhagen. Definitely a beatiful city:)
we had tepiyaki (spelling?) yesterday, which was really fun.
Hardly any Japanese people among the staff, but one of the Chinese waitresses gave me a little origami swan.
I think it might have brought me a little luck. It made me feel good, anyway

Re: JLPT 2 2008/2009
And so.....we've got 51 weeks to JLPT2 2009 ^_^
There should be quite a few from the old crowd taking it, and quite some new ones as well, I'm sure....
So how about we get cracking?
I was thinking (while walking the dog in the evening woodlands, with a wonderful 十六夜 casting it's yellow light on the water)
How about getting together every 2 weeks?
The one time we could practise listening.
There's plenty of material on the net like YouTube and voiceblogs. What if we all took turns in choosing something suitable and adding questions? I reckon we all have ways to sollicit help with this preparation....
The other time might be for grammar.
We could cluster topics and take turns in preparing questions. Maybe even divide each cluster over 2 people, so we all get something new each session?
I figured we might ask some of the ever helpful regular cracks on this site to in turn proofread our questions?
(And of course always hoping Coco-san will be around at times.....!!!
)
How does that sound?
Anyways, this is just a blue print, of course, but it would be nice to get the gang going again.....
(And this time, since I should have a decent foundation, I'm not too scared to take part in chatting, I think ^_^)

Re: JLPT 2 2008/2009
I'm interested in that.
I just don't know where/when to meet up.
I can't always do chat sessions and I don't even have a mic to do voice chat or audio blogs.
Social networking sites like facebook, mixi, lang-8, and even myspace seem like they'd be a bit more convenient.

Re: JLPT 2 2008/2009
I have to admit, I don't do social networking online....so I don't really know how that works.
What exactly would be the advantages? (serious question,btw...no sarcasm!)
If we would use chat, we'd have to find days and times most people can manage. And there should be a way to file everything in a log, so if you can't make a session, you can always follow it at another time and ask questions on the forum....

Count me in. I don't really know to conduct the meetings but I'd be more than happy to learn together in a group. In my opinion everyone who's thinking of taking 2 kyuu should benefit from this so don't be shy people and give your vote for katafei's neat idea ^^.
