RE: Please help
This is what I could come up with...
「私は日本人ではじゃない」〔あたしはにほんじんではじゃない〕 - I'm not Japanese
「日本語が分かりません」〔にほんごがわかりません〕 - I don't understand Japanese
「この文節しか分かりません」〔このぶんせつしかわかりません〕 - This phrase is all I know

RE: Please help
あたしはにほんじんではじゃない, maybe getting rid of では if you are saying じゃない.
-edit- but to be polite, I'd recommend something like じゃありません

sumimasen, nihongo ga wakarimasen. <-- this is an acceptably polite way to say "I'm sorry, I don't understand Japanese"
I don't think you'd have to announce that you're not japanese, even if you LOOK japanese. Saying you don't know the language should suffice. But, if you must express nationality, I would say "I don't speak japanese" first, then follow with where you are from.
Watashi wa kanadajin desu.
I am Canadian.
I guess I would just maybe get offended if I tried talking to someone in english and they looked at me and said "I'm not American." It would just be strange. It's nicer to say "Sorry, I don't understand your language" with an apologetic look on your face.

At least once you learn some of the language you don't have to tell people to speak to you in Japanese.
Even if you are Japanese, there are plenty of Japanese-American that go to Japan to study Japanese. I bet it feels more embarrassing saying you can't speak Japanese at all and are Japanese descent.
Don't worry though, once you try to speak they will realize you don't know the language. This is why I never recommend people learn "I'm sorry but I'm not any good at Japanese" because once they get good at saying that, they just seem modest rather then honest
Sumimasen, nihongo ga wakarimasen. would probably get the point across without seeming modest

RE: Please help
Just because a bunch of dumb Americans might confuse you for Japanese doesn't mean that Japanese people will think you're Japanese.
RE: Please help
Kanojo ga suki desu ka? - Do you like her?
'Anata ga ichiban kawaii da' to kanojo wa omoite iru - She thinks you're the cutest
