Any Exotic Pets?

I'm a hardcore animal keeper, so I was wondering if anyone else on here kept unusual pets. Currently, I have: 5 snakes, 2 blue tongue skinks, 4 crested geckos, 5 poison dart frogs, 4 red-eyed tree frogs, a 55-gallon aquarium with fish and a koi pond outside. It's funny when friends bring people over just to view my collection; it's almost like a tiny zoo.

We just have a Chocolate Lab, but as a kid I had a ball python, and I had a stag beetle quite recently until he croaked this August.

I had a fruit bat for a couple of days before he died of a wing injury.

I don't think that's exactly what the OP meant by exotic!

Anyway, I once had a stick insect, which was the easiest pet in the world to care for. We also had a murray magpie when I was a kid. It fell out of it's nest as a baby and we raised it. I'd love to have some green tree frogs!

A cockatiel sounds rather exotic to me. Are they very common in Australia?

Very common, especially in the interior. As far as pets go they are almost as common as budgies.

They're common in the UK too. Budgies are probably the most common, but cockatiels aren't far behind.

You see them like every day here! They are all different! I don't think Finches are exotic though.
