Calpis anyone???????

Speaking of calpis, I'm actually drinking a glass of it right now. The stuff that comes pre-mixed from vending machines is yummy, but I prefer the mix-your-own kind from the supermarket because it comes in all kinds of weird fruit flavors.

I'm currently drinking white-grape flavor, but red grape, pineapple and orange are very yummy too. Stay away from banana, though; that stuff is an abomination. (Mango's a little gross too.)

I seem to remember seeing calpis for sale. But that might just because it's sold in almost every vending machine in Japan.

For the longest time I thought Calpis and Pocari Sweat were the two national drinks....

No kidding. That and that silly fruits juice drink.. blech.. You'd be better off taking a hand full of sugar, and drinking peach juice with it.. lol

Pocari Sweat is good, but my favorite was 海のSupli. Unfortunately it was one of those limited-time only flavors.

I don't much like Pocari Sweat either.

My absolute favorite Japanese drink that I wish I could get here is Coke's Soukenbicha. Next time I go to Japan, the first thing I'm doing is buying a bottle of that from the airport vending machine.
