hippocrene beginners japanese (& study group)

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has this book, because I found it to be very good! It has Hiragana and Katakana. (I used this site for that before I got the book though and I think this site is great for that). The book also has vocabulary exercises and self tests. Plus it deals with short dialogues, for practice in everyday conversation. It's not just a list of vocab, it shows how they are used. If you have it, what do you think of it, and if you don't have it, I think it could be a great help. Anyone that has it or gets it maybe we could use this thread for a study group with this book.

So anyone check out this yet, or any new members that have it? I would like to know what people think of it. Espically if you could compair it to another book. Also I was wondering if there are also "intermediate" level books?
