Spammer
I received spam in the inbox of my account in this forum; from username "izzan".
I believe there is a method to prevent automatic registrations like this; it had something to do with asking a question to the user during registration, specific to this forum.

Re: Spammer
I've already banned the culprit. Cleaning these out of people's in-boxes is beyond my authority, but I alerted Phreadom to it so he can handle the cleanup.

Yeah, I just followed with a ban, too, but someone beat me to it (meanie!).
Oy. I got the same PM.

Re: Spammer
All PMs from that user removed.
Thanks for the heads up.
(We do have such an authentication measure in place. Maybe it's time to update the question/answer again.)

I got the same PM too, I think! Well, I was alerted of a PM from "izzan" via email but when I went to check my PM's the message had somehow myseteriously disappeared, presumably at the hand of Phreadom.
Not that I'm sad about that!

I must have had the PM, too, but didn't see it before it was removed. But now my message by the control panel permanently says (1 new message) even though it no longer exists. >.<

Is it still saying that now?

I clicked mine again a few minutes ago and it went away.

Re: Spammer
Does this mean I won't be getting 20% of $3.5 million?

I have used my contacts in the US Senate to set up a relief fund for those here who have had their hopes shattered by the mismanagement of this promise of millions.
For all those who have received this wonderful windfall only to have it ripped from your inbox by a greedy Phreadom (who wants all $3.5 million X number of TJP members X 20% for himself), please PM me your bank account numbers, social security information, and a processing fee of $150 (check payable to "cash") right away.
Don't miss out on your chance to reclaim 35% of 3.5 billion today!
Sincerely,
Hameeb Mufeeb

Re: Spammer
I'm beginning to think this is all one big hoax. I mean, for Mr. Mufeeb to be a Prince AND a world-class hacker who is able to crack Keat's password is a little too convenient if you know what I mean.
