Oh my, that is hot....
I've never experienced extreme heat nor extreme cold weather, but given a choice between very hot and very cold, I'd take the latter...^_^ (as long as there are still energy resources, that is)

As for those poor animals, nice idea, the ice, hope it doesn't give them diarrhea though....

I saw a news feature this morning of an Australian firefighter giving water to a slightly burnt Koala Bear. it appears the poor little guy got confused and tried to run into a fire to get away from all the people. After some seared fur was put out, he calmed down enough to take water and food. I'm not sure what they will do with him, but I'm sure they will at least take care of him until he can be released back into the wild.

He, Sam, turned out to be a she

..... Yesterday, Sam was recovering in Mountain Ash Wildlife Shelter. Carer Jenny Shaw said Sam suffered burns on her paws and was in a lot of pain, but was on the road to recovery. She was put on an IV drip and is on antibiotics and pain relief treatment. .....
