Sanshi was following the old lady till 大きく湾曲した石段を上っていくと、ふいに光が見えた。 その重みを胸の中に刻みなおすようにしながら黙々と石段を上ると、ふいに視野が開けた。いつのまにか幅広になっていた石段の、正面にぽっかりと大きく四角の穴が空いていた。 彼女は足を止めた。

The Sen in general are people who have been granted immortality in order to perform some duty or other. I believe this thread is very effective and helpful to keep your motivation for Japanese learning.

Only thing you need to be cautious is the copyright issue.
So please be cautious when you make transcript from the original text because excessive quoting (i.e. entire paragraphs, whole text) can be troublesome.

Like page what, line X to line Y.
(But, sometimes I had problems with the entire paragraph .... this is really a big headache.)

I'm completely ignorant about this kind of issues, but I think we should be careful.

How to go around the problem?
- post only "our" translation, which can't be reconciled (as far as I'm concerned) with any original, quoting the references previously agreed upon? Would that be OK ? Dividing §X,§Y, etc.., as done by katefei for easy use of our different versions, can be used for that.
- send the lenghty quotation by PM?
- any other way?
I guess we have the same problem wih the chat if we log it, don't we? This is trickier...
