A newbie >_<
Hi^_^ I just joined like a day ago.
I really want to learn Japanese, I asked my mom before but SHE SAID NO, so I ended up having to learn it myself. So... really need everyone's help, sorry>_<
I'm Candy (used to live in America) but had to go to Taiwan, so I know English and Chinese.
Thanks for wasting your time reading~~

You can start by learning Hiragana first like I do candy. For now I can read Hiragana but cant read Katakana and Kanji. Anyway Im starting to learn that.
BTW, bout your question. I think it will be simple for you because Kanji is same alphabet as chinese.

hajimemashite to yorokoso.
i also think you will excel at the kanji since the symbols are easy to recognise. although they are the same kanji, you will have a tough time remembering the readings as many chinese people i know beginning to learn the language. although im sure you can guess through context and meanings from the kanji, which should help you learn quite nicely

All I know the spelling is not same at all although the alphabet is same.
For example 一in kanji is Ichi but for chinese is a another spelling.
