Font Size

This is the same problem as I reported before on this post.
When I browse this post with IE 7.06,

注）参加者が３名に満たない場合は、またの機会に聞き取り練習を行うことにします。

that part looks bigger than the normal text size. But browsing it with the FireFox3.0, the same sentence looks smaller than the normal text size. I had set that part to be "size 80". It doesn't seem to work with IE.
Does it happen only to my PC?

Unfortunately that seems to be a problem with IE?

It all works fine here, but I'm on Windows 7 with IE8 and Firefox3. So I can't really see which problem you're having.

I might be able to look at the code later and try to figure out why it might be happening, but it might not be something we can easily fix.

Thanks for pointing it out again though. I'll see what I can do.

I think this may have happened only to me.

I use "Change font size function" to read forum posts by clicking "∨A∧" icon on the upper right side of the page.　
When using Firefox, every font in the "Change font size" function looks fine. The sentence I marked "size=80" is always smaller than the normal text size, while it's not always smaller in IE.

I think this might be the reason of my problem.

That could be.

IE8 is now available for everyone to update, and I think will be an automatic update pretty soon, so everyone will end up with it. The text appears to work correctly in IE8, so maybe you can try updating to IE8 through windows update?

Also, Windows 7 isn't actually released yet, but it's available for public beta testing.

I installed IE8.0, but the marked text in IE8.0 doesn't seem to be correct.
(IE8.0 has the same problem as IE7.0, at least on my PC. Please have a look at attached files,WinShot, below.)
However, it is a minor problem because most members don't mind it.

You might need to check your browser settings. In Firefox there is an override setting for Japanese text. I can read, for example, pt. 10 English text just fine, but Japanese text with a lot of kanji at that size gives me a headache so I have it set up to show Japanese text bigger than normal. (Tools > Options > Content > Fonts & Colors > Advanced)

Ok, I'll avoid making Japanese text to be smaller than normal text (size=100) , because not everyone uses Firefox.

Well, it appears to certainly be a bug in IE (all versions it seems), because the behavior actually changes depending on what else is on the screen, switching to a different tab and then back etc...

You can go ahead and use the size tags, the worst that seems will happen is that it will either show up a little smaller for everyone not using IE and no different for those using IE.

(for instance I added my test post above and suddenly your first post is working correctly in IE8 now... mysterious. Is it working for you now as well?)

... yes, as you said, suddenly the size=80 text became getting bigger again on my PC...mysterious.
We shouldn't have had high expectations to IE.
