In lesson 6...

Postby Mavira » Mon 05.05.2008 5:09 pm

I've gotten a little stuck.

It says: 'To deny somebody permission to do something, you can use the te-form plus はいけません.'
However, it doesn't specify if that is pronounced 'haikemasen', or 'wa ikemasen'.

The sentence is: いいえ、きょかしょを見てはいけません。

Thanks in advance,
Emma. :D

This is the particle "wa".

Thank you.
It didn't make it clear whether it was the particle or part of the word.

This thread should be preserved to link to every time someone pulls out that "romaji leads to bad pronunciation and kana gives you perfect pronunciation" thing.

Small correction.

It's okay, all IME-noobs make similar mistakes.
