Interestingly, my cousin had a baby girl last night. So her daughter and my daughter are exactly a year apart.
And Makoto (our son) and my neighbor's wife were born on the same day too--just 74 years apart. Practically twins!

"One Year Old" の前に不定冠詞の "a" があるのはOne Year Old の後にgirl か何かが略された形なのでしょうか？

辞書によると：
(noun)
27. a person or animal of a specified age or age group (used in combination): a class for six-year-olds; a horse race for three-year-olds.
これを従って、名詞を略したより、"X-year-old"は名詞でも使える説明がいいかもしれません。まあ、どっちでもいいや。
（で、"used in combination"の意味はよくわからないけど、"she is a five-year old"というのは全く問題ないと思います。)
