Not sure if this is right...
I don't have a Japanese word processor on this machine, if you need to see the kanji to better help me, let me know and I'll fix it.
I'm translating a Japanese version of MPD Psycho and the first sentence doesn't seem right. It reads like this:
Atama no naka no mori hitori no darekatachi...
"The people in the forest of the mind..." is my translation. What throws me off is "forest" the word "mori" is in hiragana so I have no hints conceptually of what it's meant to translate to. Is there an alternate translation or did I actually read that right? I can only assume it's a metaphor...I don't think this series is about people with trees growing out of their ears. I also wasn't sure if I should read "hitori" as "one person" or "that person" or even "mine", later it says:
Hitori...mata hitori...mata...
"One person...as well as one person...as well as..."
That's about as far as I got before I decided I needed to be sure I was translating correctly. Thanks in advance for the help!

Re: Not sure if this is right...
Googling "一人の誰か達" gets me a few relevant results that suggest that you misread もう as もり. ^^;
もう一人の誰か達 still strikes me as odd though...
Parsing as [もう一人の誰か][達] rather than [もう一人の][誰か達] makes it make a bit more sense... "These [other versions of people] that are in my head..."
I think we'd have to see more context to say for sure. ._.

This will be something like "one... and another... and another..." or "one... by one... and another again...". Context will probably reveal better wordings.Hitori...mata hitori...mata...
"One person...as well as one person...as well as..."

Ah, "mou" makes more sense then, thank you!
