I think it would be a nice addition to TJP displaying the user’s country through a flag.

My feeling is; "That's what the 'location' profile setting is for. We neither need the extra clutter, nor the extra work trying to figure out how to set something like that up right now."

But maybe that's just me.

Also, would the country flag indicate the country of residence or one's motherland? I think the location and native language fields are enough and cover all possibilities.
(Besides I've never liked flags ... but this is a very European thing I guess ...)

I've heard that about a lot of European countries... that say saw the dangers of overzealous Nationalism during World War II etc... so that countries like Germany for instance really don't like having flags out in their yards etc like Americans do. My German friends have told me about the only time you really see the flags come out is during soccer (football) games etc.

(And maybe we should leave it at that lest we stray into a political discussion?)
