I know the feeling. My browser (and RSS feed) are almost constantly set to TJP while I'm at work, but for some reason I never seem to actually post anything... :/

If Becki has less time because of the baby, I can take over the JP day shift.

You were actually just nominated by Coco. ;) And I think it's a good idea as well. :)

phreadom: I suppose I could also be a mod if you think it would help.

No Problem, I know I haven't posted much and I agree more mods should be added, I definitely think you should get mod status if you're up for it ^^

Sure, sounds interesting.

As for other people, I agree with the nominations of coco and Harisenbon -- that's probably enough for now, I think?

I think so too.

We will see how the next little while goes now and hopefully these get cleared up considerably quicker ^^

I think that this would be the most effective way to cut down on posts like this. Sure the spammer might post tons of junk to get past that point, but at least then we'll be able to catch that person sooner.

That is correct, you did indeed mention that. :) ありがとう。 :D

(I ♥ TJP Chat! And welcome back to the forum!)

This one looks very effective. :) I didn't notice that way.

I'm glad that Becki-san became a mod.
I believe both of Yudan-san and Harisenbon-san are suitable for mods.
It was a great honor to me to be nominated a mod, but as you know, my English ability is awful.
I'm sure that I will ban many innocent members instead of spammers because of my lack ability of reading English. :P

I believe new mods will be a great help for us.
よろしくお願いいたします!

Thank you Phreadom-san for all measures to prevent spammers.

とんでもないです!
You're always the one pointing out the spammers; I can't think of anyone better to be a new mod than you.

Don't worry about it. It's like when you spank children.

Even if YOU don't know what they did to deserve it, THEY do. ;)

I’m not sure if this has been suggested but if you need to expand your moderator base for tackling this problem you could create a specialized user type, that allows specifically just for those powers needed to fight spam.
