Is this by any chance for a tattoo?

It would probably help people help you if you posted more of it... so they had some context to work with etc. :) I know that's one of the main things they ask for; "context, context, context!" ;)

So maybe give some more context, more of the poem, some added explanation etc, and I'm sure people will be more willing to help. :)

If you just want the two words then 平静(heisei) and 正気 (shouki) are fine.

Rhonda, what phreadom is asking for, what we all ask for is context, not definition..

In otherwords, since you are making a poem, perhaps you can include where these words will fit within that poem. Include the sentences in both English and then in your Japanese attempt. We can then assess your ability and help you determine the best word for the Poem.

Not to be rude, but as for definitions, we are all capable of looking up a word we aren't familiar with, sanity and serenity are pretty standard/common usage words.. :D
