Writing a letter to my new teacher

Postby Sivak » Fri 08.07.2009 4:00 pm

Hey all. I took a placement test and successfully scored into the second year class, which I was pleased to have happen. The instructor sent me a confirmation today about it. I wanted to write him an e-mail in Japanese for a simple thank you. It isn't extensive, but I wanted to ensure accuracy. :)

(I don't know if he uses a special Kanji for his name. I plan to ask him, so I'm leaving this)

Hello, Hara-sensei
This is Jordan.

I had no trouble enrolling in 2140. I'm looking forward to it.

Sincerely,
Jordan

I hope I got it all right there. Any corrections appreciated. Thanks, folks. 8)

Strictly speaking, you shouldn't write 敬具 here. I personally think it's ok, though.
If you want to make it accurate according to the proper gramatical rules, you could just get rid of it.
