More Tips ..... On Learing ?
Please help, Can anybody give me a tip about how to study Kanji ... I'll be waiting for REPLY ..
RE: More Tips ..... On Learing ?
Write write write....? Find a good book and practice every day. Practice writing and reading the kanji you learned, and practice regonizing the ones you haven't yet.
If you need a good book, I highly recommend the "Basic Kanji Book" pair. Here's book one. I have all four and I love them. They are great textbooks, as well as workbooks.

what kates said + read, read, read.
I carry a pocket notebook where I write my current kanji + vocabulary (tangoo?) so I can study when I eat, or stand in line, or attend meetings, or drive to ... oh wait, not when I drive

If you have trouble remembering a reading, then learn a word that uses that reading. For example, I always forgot the on-yomi of 読 was ドク. But after I learned the word 読書 (どくしょ/dokusho=reading), I never forgot.
Don't just try to learn stroke order and memorize readings. Learn words that USE the readings and you'll remember them much better.

i agree most of the kanji i know i tend to forget the on pronounciation and always remeber the meaning and the Kun.
RE: More Tips ..... On Learing ?
I have different methods for learning kanji. My workbook of choice is A Guide To Writing Kana & Kanji. It's a two book set, but i only have book 1. It's seems that Kun reading is always easier to remember then On. To remember the Kun, i go about it using the romanized alphabet. I memorize the kun readings for kanji alphabetically and eventually (a week or so) they just stick.
Other than that what everyone else said is the best method. Read and write, write and read.

Re: More Tips ..... On Learing ?
Try using the old school: look, cover, write, check. I try saying the word or sound when I'm doing it and also drawing silly pictures. For example: 電話 (denwa- phone) the first bit to me looks like a dendenmushi out of one piece and the second bit is easy enough to get. And then because it looks like a den den mushi I can't stop laughing about it. I learnt this from http://japanese.about.com/library/blkow.htm I found this very useful and have managed to retain the knowledge of what three kanji look like without even trying. I still go with the look cover write check though. I try to go over what I've done too and then make up stupid stories using the kanji that I've learnt.
I don't know if this has been helpful as I am just a beginner in kanji also but I still think that despite its boringness look cover write check never fails.
All the best

There was a Usenet post I stumbled upon while googling the other day. I thought about replying (although I don't think I was actually going to), but I instinctively checked the date.
April 1, 1989.
Now that woulda been a necropost...

Re: More Tips ..... On Learing ?
I've been leering for years and never needed any advice on it.
Never underestimate my capacity for pettiness.

Sounds like someone wins a non-prize.
But it is kinda fun when someone revives a thread and I look at it and think, "Ahh, I remember that thread!"
