grammar textbook

I just finished to learn hiragana and katakana and now i wanted to start with grammar: which is a good textbook?

You can always check out the Japanese for Busy People series. It's the textbook my teacher makes us use for class. I can't really say it's the gratest book (because its the only one I really know), but it's not a bad book. ^_^

Also try to master the contents of Clay's grammar section on this site. Apart from the whole "Winnie the Pooh" thing, it is really clear and helpful.

Japanese for Everyone is good and relatively cheap, but gets intense fairly quickly. Mini-review here.

The big problem I hear about Japanese for Everyone is the missing audio component.

From what I've heard, it's impossible to buy the Japanese for Everyone tapes at a reasonable price, if at all. However, it can't hurt to check the library: the local library system here has them.

In any case, the audio is fairly limited--about 4-6 minutes per lesson. That's about enough to cover the opening dialogs, possibly an exercise or two, and the listening comprehension exercise at the end. It'd be just as effective, if not more, to find a live person who can help.
