Re: The Next Person Game in English
I'm attending a friend's wedding this month, but I'm not worried about it.

Yes, I can whistle.
But I can't whistle with fingers...well, I mean, to produce sharp whistle-like sound using two fingers on the lip...
The next person knows what I want to say and kindly tells me what do you call it in English.

Re: The Next Person Game in English
I understand what you mean. I'd probably just say "whistle with your/two fingers" or maybe "whistle through your/two fingers". I can't do it either, but I can do a mean 歯笛.

Yes. Although the wind isn't that wild, it's raining cats and dogs here in Tokyo.

Not trouble exactly, but my darn connection is so slow. I'm really going to have to upgrade to 光ファイバー one of these days.

I do like to read, but I have little opportunity to do so because I'm busy being a full-time mother.

Nope, I'm not sure Thomas was around when I was a kid. I did like model trains though, and I once went to a model train show with my Dad.

Not an onsen but thermal pools in New Zealand.
I'd never heard of Thomas The Tank Engine when I was a child even though the books were probably around. I don't believe the toys became available until the TV series took off.
The next person lives in the same city as me.
