translation problem
i'm reading a nice story and i came across this sentence:
女の子は、十二、三歳ぐらいでした。
well, i know it's said that the girl is about the age of something, but i dont understand the meaning of this 12 in the middle and the 3 before her age. some help would be nice.

Re: translation problem
I just means she was around 12~13. 十二、三歳 is pronounced じゅうにさんさい, meaning 12~13 (year old).
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away and you have their shoes.

Re: translation problem
(It's a shortening of 十二、十三歳: "She was twelve, thirteen years old")
