Voucher?
Hi, I'm taking the Test in London.
I was under the impression that part of the application form was sent back to you, and that this would serve as a pass into the exam, yet I still haven't received anything back from the host institution, and it's about 2 months since I sent the form off. Should I be concerned, or is this not how it works?

From their website:

I wouldn't be worried yet.
Early November, 2009: Test Vouchers and Test Site Information sheets are sent out

I wouldn't be worried yet.

Thanks. I'll start worrying if it doesn't come in the next couple of weeks then.

Re: Voucher?
I know, you never hear if your application form and/or money has arrived safely...
I registered in Rome this year, and no disrespect to the Italians, but I'd be very happy if all arrives in good order.
A buddy of mine chose Dusseldorf this year, and received personal confirmation straight away. Of course now, he acts as though that is totally normal

Re: Voucher?
I received the following e-mail on Nov 6th:
It also included contact information.
My guess is that people should be getting them by now... and if you're worried, and you registered electronically (like I did), you can print out your voucher now.
Dear JLPT Examinee,
We have started sending out admission vouchers and test site information sheets, in the mail, for admission to the 2009 JLPT. You should be receiving this within a week. If you do not receive it, you can print out a copy of your test voucher through your profile on My Account at https://www.jflalc.org/jlpt/. To print out a copy of your test voucher, login to your account and click “voucher”. You can also call or email us, if you did not register online, to have a copy of the voucher and vital information sheet resent to you.
Please remember to bring the voucher and a valid photo ID, such as driver’s license, passport or student ID, to be admitted to the testing room on the day of the test.
Vital information for your test site, such as location, test time, parking, directions, etc. is also available at http://www.jflalc.org/index.php?act=tpt&id=24.
If you are not able to make it to the JLPT this year, there is nothing you have to do to cancel your registration. You will simply not receive a score if you do not show up and this will not affect your score if you decide to take the test again in the future. We will not provide any refunds, partial refunds, or transfers of your JLPT registration if you decide to cancel as stated in our test rules and policy, which was agreed to during registration (No exceptions).
It also included contact information.

Well, I logged into my account and printed out my voucher.
Maybe it's different outside of the US?

Re: Voucher?
Yeah, I should've said 'for the US only' ^^
There doesn't appear to be an online registry for Europe. The London site states that all vouchers were dispatched by the 9th and they give the post untill the 17th before they want you to panick.
Mail from Italy is bound to take longer.....
