Does japan have a parliament?

How does the japanese government work? Do they have a parliament or do they have a unique government like america? And how do they vote for the prime minister?

If they had a government like America (USA) then it wouldn't be unique would it?

I meant a unique government that japan only has like america has a unique government like america only has.
Oh and I'm sorry for not replying to my older posts, but I'm going to from now on, yes I guess that is annoying, not showing any sign of reply after someone has had the kindness to answer a question or something, sorry.
