Anime-style clothes

Post by kyogram » Fri 03.19.2010 3:01 pm

I was wondering, a friend of mine is a fashion stylist for a professional band, and she asked me for some advice: Where to buy anime style clothing (not cosplay). I was thoroughly stumped... and wondered if anyone here could give me a hand, or anything to reccommend?

Anime clothes that aren't cosplay clothes...? How is that possible?

I'm not a cosplayer myself, so I can't give a really definitive answer but I believe they mostly make their own clothes.

LOL . . . what? *scratches head*

They are just clothes that people design in their heads for the show/comic . . . I mean, unless your friend wants costume-y type clothes or something like that . . . I don't even know dude. O______O

When you say "anime clothes" I think of either normal clothes or costumes -- like avant-garde type stuff from fashion runways that no one would wear casually on the street.

Maybe you should just tell your friend to look at pictures of some Japanese street style from Harajuku or Shibuya.
