Hooked and Booked...
another trip to NYC....again....I'll be taking JLPT 2 (....again.....^_^) in the Big Apple this year! Really excited about it...going to NYC that is, I had sort of decided not to bother with JLPT this year, but it always makes for a nice excuse for a city trip...
Anyone here has experience with the test in New York? Was the organisation up to scratch?
I really love the building, the Columbia University, looks really grand on the pictures.

I'm not taking any test this year due a project which has already fallen behind schedule.
Anyway, all the best and enjoy your trip.

Re: Hooked and Booked...
hi SS,
but you passed last year, didn't you?
I'll probably start a very time-consuming course this year, so JLPT studying is going to suffer greatly
But I'll give it some extra time this summer.
Bought some great teenager books in Kinokunya this spring, so plenty of reading material!
good luck with your project.

Kat,
Glad to hear that you have plenty of books to read.
I thought I read somewhere you passed L2 the second attempt? I could have missed something there, I thought you just wanted to try the new N2 test.
Yea but not a satisfactory one. So many things to do in the list, I'm looking forward to a vacation just relaxing.

When is the test held in NYC? Is it in December, same as here?

My understanding is that it is held on the same day world wide but that may not be correct.
Being held on Sunday 5 December 2010 in Oz.
Don't complain to me that people kick you when you're down. It's your own fault for lying there

Re: Hooked and Booked...
Same date, different time....
I'm studying real hard and also spending a lot of money on theatre shows, only to find out today Al Pacino will be on Broadway featuring in the Merchant of Venice....

And as the seats of the theatre are cramped and I am tall, it will have to be another Ace ticket.....hurting my wallet....
But man, it will be a wonderful trip with Xmas decorations out and all.

Re: Hooked and Booked...
Does anyone taking the test in the UK know what time it's usually held? Is it at the same time around the world? I can't find any information about this, and it's important if I want tot become one of those who are 'hooked and booked', as I'll need to catch the train into London.
