Re: How do I say 'school in Japanese? 『校 or 学校』
As far as I'm aware, 校 functions as "school" in compounds such as 学校 (School), 高校生(senior high school student), 登校 (school attendance) etc. Basically, 校 is a kanji that has the general idea of School but it cannot be used alone; it needs to be paired with other kanji to be more specific. In other contexts such as 校正(proofreading) it isnt about school at all (though thats the only one I can think of from the top of my head, and even that's related to school-life)
Spend less time thinking, and more time doing.
