2 weeks $5000?
planing on going to japan late this year, and can only afford to go for 2 weeks due to obligation from work and plan to save 5k for this. is 5k enough you think? i plan on flying to tokyo and going clubbing, seeing some penpals, of course sight seeing and just having a all around good time. possible travel to fukuoka via shinkansen.

Does the $5K include airfares?

$5K for 14 days $357/day. What type of accommodation are you looking at? If you are paying $300/night for accomodation then $5K probably won't be enough.
If you work out how much you are spending on accommodation you will then know how much you have to spend per day on food and entertainment.

Well $357/day for food, entertainment and a bit of sight seeing should be adequate.
On my last trip I had a JR Rail Pass and had prepaid my accommodation and two of us got by on less than $100/day. I'm too old to go clubbing though.
Is that like a big navel piercing?

well, unless they are talking oranges, I think they mean Naval installation, or as we call them in the states, Naval Bases..

No kidding.
Who'd have thought that the Yokusuka Navel (sic) Installation is a Naval Base.

while i was jovial about it, i was pointing out that navel is the incorrect way to spell naval. navel has to do with belly buttons and oranges. naval has to do with navy. anyways, carry on.
