Regarding quick brown foxes and lazy dogs

Postby Dehitay » Tue 02.01.2011 7:26 pm

I'm sure the majority of people have heard the sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog". But for those that aren't familiar with it, it's a short sentence that has all 26 characters of the alphabet in it. I was wondering if anybody knew of some short phrases that had all 46 kana characters in it (I'm not really carring about the tenten or maru being there or not). Or if no popular ones exist, maybe somebody with better vocabulary and grammar could make one up for me. I'm sure anything I tried to make would come out ridiculously long before I got all 46 kana in.

How about the Iroha uta? Since it's old it doesn't contain modern ん, but the now obsolete ゐ and ゑ are in there. I don't know if something that's 47 syllables long would still be considered 'a short phrase' though...
