cold weather and Hanten.
I remember, oh so long ago, in 1987-1989 while living in the tohoku area, that with no central heating, all we really had to keep warm was the futon, a hanten, an oil or gas stove or if you were lucky, you had a kotatsu.
Being a bit broader in the shoulders and a bit taller than your average Japanese male, I never could quite get a hanten that fit me well.
so, in reminisce, I was wondering what is the going rate for Hanten for someone around 6'-1" and a 54-58" chest?

hello
Most cloths sold in japan could be subdivided into 4 or 5 types,
for Men, Women, Boy and girl. Perhaps for baby
I believe that the commercial "hanten" for men usually sold with "free-size"
But I will show the reference as like below
http://www.hanten.co.jp/qa/
If you can find L or LL, I recommend you to have "LL" from your height
thanks

Sorry, I missed these posts.
Let's just say, I'm lucky I don't have extremely long legs. But yes, in general, finding anything to fit was difficult at best. I jokingly asked one lady, selling Hantens, "Where do the Sumo purchase their Hanten?" She said they go to a tailor and get them specially made. It was then I realized that I probably would never get one that fit very well without spending alot to have one special made.
"If you can find L or LL, I recommend you to have "LL" from your height" I'll have to take a look and see about that.. thanks.
